A small addon here: smoking tobacco is absolutely not harmful in any way, bar you use organic tobacco, not industrial cigarettes loaded with additives and pesticides.
I am so happy to hear that you are off antidepressants, and are smoke free for two years. Some folks are posting that nicotine is not addicting. I asked for their information on how that could be, I am open to any new ideas.
Tom, I am not sure what you are talking about. I specifically said that vaping sucks and that chart showed all the harmful side effects of vaping. YOU COMPLETELY MISREAD IT, I AM AGAINST VAPING AND MADE THAT CLEAR. You are completely mistaken in your criticism, that was not my position and never was.
Carole, No doubt cigarettes are loaded with tars and chemicals and even viruses that are very harmful. I mentioned it briefly in the article, but my intent was not to write an article about smoking but rather to take a fresh look at possible benefits of nicotine that were previously overlooked, or overshadowed by the horrors of smoking.
The non addictive nature of nicotine has been mentioned by a handful of my readers. That is good news as far as using nicotine. As I mentioned in the article it is found in many nightshades but I believe the levels are very low.
Yes, you are correct, I have heard mention of using it to help clear spike proteins, but I couldn't find enough information on it to be comfortable about reporting that yet. in the near future, I am going to write an article on Longhaul Covid and its treatment.
Sez77, I couldn't agree more with you. After 40 years of practicing medicine and being a functional medicine physician, I am constantly in awe of the human body and its incredible design.
If what you say about nicotine is true, then I am very interested in what you are saying, send me what you say to support the fact that it is not addicting. I am always open to new ideas, and that is the purpose of the Medical Underground. Except for my concerns about addiction, I thought nicotine had some really good uses.
We will have to disagree on that, since I know many patients who use nicotine pouches and keep going up in the number they use. However, I approach everything with an open mind, perhaps I have gotten a mistaken impression of its addictive potential by my skewered experience with patients. In addition to which, everything ever mentioned about nicotine discusses its addiction. But, your comments were fascinating.
Nicotine has anti inflammatory properties. There’s some interesting information out there regarding therapeutic use for flushing spike proteins from the Covid vaccine.
Pure nicotine’s not addictive and is found in many foods… it squashes everything from the flu to covid, takes down cancer too. Every cell of your body has a nicotine receptor in it. Great for your overall health
Thanks, I am open to all new information and when I get a chance I will check it out. Doc
